All Three Major News Networks Ignored Bernie Sanders’ Speech Tuesday Night, To Show Empty Trump Podium

As Bernie Sanders took the stage on Tuesday night, the cable networks continued doing what they do best – talking.

Fox News, CNN and MSNBC all declined to carry Sanders’ speech, instead offering jokes about the evening while showing live coverage of Trumps empty podium while promising that we were all, “AWAITING TRUMP” and “STANDING BY FOR TRUMP.“ 

In Fact: EVERY OTHER CANDIDATE HAD AIR TIME EXCEPT FOR SANDERS

As if these stations couldn’t get any more corrupt, The Huffington Post’s Michael Calderone reported that the media have collectively given Trump some $2 billion worth of free air time.

does anyone else ever think about the way latinas are perceived to be inherently sexual when they develop breasts which for a lot is like at 11. and how that coupled with the stereotype that latinas all have babies at 15 and have multiple children by the time they’re 21. and that coupled with the stereotype that latin@s are the more romantic and sensual race. all come together to create an experience for latinas for misogyny and racism that makes everyone who isn’t latin@ think that latinas are inherently sexual and promiscuous that the hypersexualization of latinas is consider okay because ‘but that’s how they are right?’

idk i think a lot about the various ways in which the intersection of misogyny and racism come together to create a unique oppressive experience for latinas. and i don’t see people addressing it and it kinda pisses me off.

These Girl Scouts rejected $100K from a transphobic donor, then raised it themselves.

The Girl Scouts of Western Washington were probably really excited to receive a $100,000 donation in the mail earlier this spring. Unfortunately, that gift came with a caveat. "Please guarantee that our gift will not be used to support transgender girls. If you can’t, please return the money.” So they did.

But instead of getting discouraged, the girls launched an Indiegogo campaign, and have raised WAY more than that original donation.
